What is Research and Development?

Research and Development (R&D) is the process used to develop a new product that falls into one of the following categories:

  1. An entirely new product that has not been previously been developed, OR
  2. A product that uses an entirely new process,
    OR
  3. A product that is significantly different to an existing product and therefore classed as a new product,
    OR
  4. A combination of the above.

The R&D process is one that actually needs to be done in accordance with some basic guidelines to ensure all aspects of the project are covered.

There are also some tax incentives for genuine R&D projects.

Some R&D projects also require some legal processes to be done in order to provide the correct protection of the Intellectual Property (IP) developed.

TEDSA can help you with all aspects of any R&D project. We also have extensive experience in the protection of your IP and can ensure you properly secure it against any competitor trying to copy your concepts or technology.
